ABOUT ERIN 

A native New Mexican born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Erin M. Pitcher has a diverse and well-round legal career that is able to serve a wide variety of client needs. Erin began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office where she successfully conducted well over 20 felony jury trials against high-profile repeat felony criminal offenders, countless bench trials and hearings, and obtained a significant number of guilty verdicts and successfully negotiated countless pleas. She also served as the lead prosecutor for the Mental Health Court, DV Repeat Offenders Program with the Metropolitan Court, Courts to Schools Program, and as the lead prosecutor responsible for prosecuting the most egregious misdemeanor domestic violence cases as well as cases involving defendants with extensive criminal histories, or with multiple pending cases. After several years at the DA’s office, Erin served as the Managing Attorney for a local law firm helping clients with their SSI/SSDI cases. Thereafter, Erin gained several years of invaluable experience working for several prominent civil litigation defense firms where she successfully handled and managed a variety of complex civil litigation matters including complex medical malpractice (including birth injury), catastrophic injury, wrongful death, construction defects, insurance defense, premises liability, product liability, workers compensation, employment, and personal injury. During her time in civil litigation defense, Erin handled and negotiated multi-million dollar cases and settlements and represented some of the top insurance companies and large corporations in the US.

With her diverse and well-rounded background of experience, Erin decided it was time to get back to the reason why she became a lawyer in the first place: to help those who need a voice and cannot advocate for themselves. Erin is a zealous advocate for her clients with a passion for helping others – especially family, children, and those with disabilities. Erin is a long-time advocate, award winner, and published author for her work with individuals with disabilities. Her advocacy and passion is fueled even further by her two stepsons – one of which who is developmentally disabled himself.

In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her longtime partner, David W. Greene, DDS; her two stepsons; and her “zoo” of animals at their home in the East Mountains. By day, Erin is an attorney, but by night, Erin can be found performing shows around New Mexico with her classic rock/country/blues band, FretNought, where she sings vocals alongside her Dad, the lead guitarist. As she likes to think: attorney by day, rockstar by night! Erin is also a big foodie and loves cooking, sports, traveling/enjoying the outdoors, photography and loves to try new things.

Erin is admitted to practice in all of New Mexico State Courts as well as the New Mexico Federal District Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She is a member and/or board member of multiple local and state Bar Associations, has taught other lawyers continuing legal education courses, and has won a variety of awards for her legal achievements and legal acumen.
